The Media Day of the Phoenix Suns’ 2025-26 is in the books and the team has now been working hard in the training camp for a new season. There is still a pre -season trip to Macau to navigate – with a few games against the Brooklyn Nets – a franchise with ties with the valley that continues to deepen.
The Kevin Durant -trade will always link them, while the new head coach Jordan Ott was an assistant in Brooklyn for several years. It does not end there, because the senior adviser of New Suns, Steve Nash, had his only head coaching to perform so far, you guessed the Brooklyn with the nets. A fact that was not lost on coach Ott.

Part of the pleasure of this time of the year is the optimism that surrounds each team. Road 12 months ago and many spoke about the Suns as a top four team in the Western Conference. We all know how that ended – and although it is still early – these three players had fans talked for the right reasons after their first official performances of the season.
3. Grayson Allen
A surprising place to start with, given Grayson Allen was mentioned earlier this season in the trading packages for Jonathan Kuminga. Although this season he comes in one way or another when the second longest solar after Devin Booker, many still feel that the 29-year-old will eventually be moved. Even if that is the case, general manager Brian Gregory still believes that he can be useful in the valley.
Gregory flowed to the media about how seriously all took the low season and how much he wanted to improve his conditioning to come to Booker -like levels. Again, if you go back a year, all came to the training camp an absolute unit and he went to a big part of the campaign with buttoning injuries when he lost his starting spot – and rhythm – to Tyus Jones.
All seems to have trimmed something down, and in the process the eye of the front office has drawn with how seriously it is part of this group. By passing on the good vibes to a rookie when he spoke with the media, there was another great way to get the fans back on, while they also build team chemistry. You can never count this guy.
2. Dillon Brooks
How quickly the perception can change in this competition. If at the end of last season you had told the fans in the valley that – not only Dillon Brooks would come to the organization – but that he and booker would quickly put beef aside to become friends, you would be crazy. Yet we have arrived in one way or another at that time and Brooks is clearly fond of the change of environment.

The Suns expect that he is a mentor for younger boys and put the tone in the defensive end, and he has done both things right from the gate. Revealing that there is a “villain Jr.” In their ranks – that is a younger player who would not expect anyone who joined him on the dark side – was only added to pleasure.
Brooks is lucky that he arrives as part of the Durant -Trade, but with far fewer expectations on his shoulders than Jalen Green. So he can quietly do his business to create a defensive identity here, and the use of the empty canvas that coach Ott will give him to get the best out of his teammates. It will be a fun season with Brooks in this schedule.
1. Kaman Maluach
The expectations of the Kaman Maluach Rookie Center were certainly filled in after a raw outing in the summer competition, but a perfect storm has somewhat fueled expectations. All and several others of his new teammates have made it a point to talk about how vocal he is already defensive, which is a great sign.
If there is any truth that he is comfortable to communicate – and more importantly – understand what that ends is happening, the 19 -year -old may contribute earlier than expected. Then there is colleague Big Mark Williams, who traded the Suns this summer to give Maluach Room to grow into the player they hope he can become.
But the most recent update about his health status was at its best, which means that Maluach has increased the need to immediately have a greater role, and has also increased. He was also a great interview during the Mediadag, and his positivity about the whole experience so far could be seen clearly. Hard not to be enthusiastic.
