The Utah Jazz is confronted with a cruy season in their rebuilding, where the selection is full of youth, promise and potential. While a few more veterans are left, many of the schedule players are 25 and younger, and the chance is for recording in the 2025-26 season.
Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler are the only two players on the Roster who are locks to start with, which means that three places are in the air. And with 11 players who have 3 years or less NBA experience (Two-Way players count Oscar Tshiewbe, John Tonje and Elia Harkless), several players have to get up to earn start spots and places in jazz rotation.
With that in mind, here are three Utah jazz players who are ready for breakout seasons in 2025-26:
Kyle Filipowski
Like a pick in the second round, Filipowski had stacked the chances against him in 2024-25. As an older Rookie, his ceiling was considered lower compared to second -year attacker Taylor Hendricks, who was planned as a starter that year.
Hendricks, however, ran in an injury in the third competition of the year and opened a place for Filipowski in the rotation. And he made the best of it, on average 8.5 points, 5.4 boards, 2.3 assists and 0.7 steals in the coming month.
He missed nine of the following 12 games due to an injury and then returned to an average of 10.4 points, 6.6 boards and two assists the rest of the road.
After a strong show in the 2025 Summer Leagues (28.6 points, 7.7 boards, 56% from the field and 39% of three), Filipowski should play a greater role in 2025-26. He has to improve defensively, but his attack is not in doubt and he should play about 25 minutes a night and determine career markings in most categories.
Isaiah Collier
During his first 30 NBA matches, Isaiah Collier saw the court less than 20 minutes a night and struggled with his shotMaking only 35% of his attempts from the field (and sub-20% of three).
While Jazz -fans were remarkably worried, another Jazz Rookie Point guard, Deron Williams, had shooting sausage (38% over his first 45 games), and then significantly improved when he adapted to the NBA.
Collier follows a similar path. His shooting improved to 44%, because he helps on average 12 points, 3.8 rebounds and 7.8 the rest of the season. He set the Rookie record for assists by a jazzman and missed the All-smokie 2nd team with one mood.
Steping up his three -point shooting up to 34% or better is the goal for Collier this year. If he does that, it is easy to see him on average 15 points or more together with 8 assists, and the jazz should win more games.
ACE Bailey
As the most announced Jazz Rookie since Deron Williams, Ace Bailey is expected to do great things. While Will Hardy may want to roll with Cody Williams, Taylor Hendricks or Brice Sensabaugh and not too early the Rookie Ointments, the fans have embraced him from the start.
As a six-foot-10 scorer and competent defender, ACE can earn the starting point alongside Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler with a strong training camp. Even if he does not start from the first day, he would have to play an important role early and, like Deron Williams and Donovan Mitchell, earn the starting nod as Rookie.
It is not difficult to see ACE Topping D-Will’s Rookie-Scoremark (10.3 points), although reaching Donovan’s (20.5 points) is a piece.
At Rutgers, Ace Dylan Harper had the primary ballhandler, who was a score-first guard. ACE will love to feed Isaiah Collier, who is a pass-first man, the rock. That should stimulate the chances of ACE, and it will be exciting to see them on the field together.
These three jazzs have a great chance of breakout seasons in 2025-26. If they do that, the jazz will no longer be in the basement and the rebuild will be on the right track, making long suffering jazz fans something to encourage in Salt Lake City this season.
