3 far too early free agents for suns to aim next summer

The Phoenix Suns made a whole series of movements this season, with the focus that now shifted to building a competition again around Devin Booker in the coming years. The path to achieve this will be difficult, although the franchise is at least on the right foot by bringing in Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and three Rookies.

Whether it is through future transactions or any of these players who touch Phoenix, the Suns now have options and flexibility to improve. With Booker who has signed his two -year extension of $ 145 million to keep the rest of the decade around, there was in theory a longer runway than fans could have imagined before Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal left to return to the fight.

It is unlikely that the organization will make large movements next season – unless they can get Josh Giddey or Jonathan Kuminga for a handle – so that they can go behind a number of larger names next summer. 3. Mikal Bridges

2. De’aaron Fox

Another player who is firmly in the “Dream Target” category stands for the Suns, but on paper there is at least one reason why player and team can be mutual interest in a year. It is well documented that the Suns do not have a long -term option at the position of the Point Guard, with boys such as Collin Gillespie, Jordan Goodwin and Jared Butler who is currently holding it.

But in De’aaron Fox, the organization could land a former All-Star that is comparable as booker. From the perspective of Fox – an unlimited free agent in 2026 – the move can also be logical for him.

Although he looked like the perfect addition to the San Antonio Spurs when they exchanged for him, that is no longer the case. They also create Stephon Castle on the rule of Rookie of the year, while they have just put Dylan Harper. This is a big problem for them to have – but if the runway becomes extensive as Victor continues to improve Wembanyama – don’t be surprised when Fox is looking for new meadows.

1. John Collins

John Collins at the top of this list is not intended to end up in a Downer, but rather brings a dose of reality into the plans of the Suns for the following summer. Although they are still in the mix for Kuminga, if their rumor package does not move the needle and the Golden State Warriors choose to keep it, Collins could become a sort of comfort price.

He is one of the most polarizing players in the competition and will also be an unlimited free agent next summer. Collins was traded out of season this season on the La Clippers – where he works with former Suns Beal and Chris Paul – and he is still only 27 years old. But together with those two boys, Plus James Harden, Kawhi Leonard and even Brook Lopez, Collins will have trouble shining.

That makes a possible movement for him on the road all the more likely. He does not go a five-year-old deal of $ 125 million orders as he has received from the Atlanta Hawks in the past, while the clippers will make a number of major decisions if their all-in season does not come out. This may not be the name you want to see, but there are plausible reasons why both Collins and the Suns can end together.
