25% ownership interest in Breeders’ Cup Contender, future stallion Mullikin, supplemented by Keeneland Championship Sale in Del Mar

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The second Keeneland Championship Sale on Wednesday, Oct. 29 in Del Mar replenished a 25% ownership interest in the Grade 1 winner and millionaire Me, tooa contender for the $2 million Cygames Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) on November 1 at Del Mar. The ownership interest is being offered as owned by WinStar Farm, where Mullikin will go to stud in 2026 for a fee to be announced after the Breeders’ Cup.
The Keeneland Championship Sale will be held in the Del Mar Paddock days before the track hosts the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The live auction starts at 6:30 PM PT.
“Our participation in the Keeneland Championship Sale with our Breeders’ Cup Sprint competitor, Mullikin, is an opportunity to run for $2 million in 72 hours and own a stallion,” said WinStar President, CEO and Racing Manager Elliott Walden. “We are offering more than just a percentage of a Breeders’ Cup entrant; this is an interest in an experienced racehorse with a promising stallion career ahead of him at WinStar Farm.”
Mullikin, who is set to return to the Breeders’ Cup Sprint after finishing third as favorite last year, has been remarkably consistent throughout his 15-race career. He has five wins, including the 2024 Forego (G1), by six seconds, and a third with more than $1.1 million in earnings.
This year, the son of Violence sits seconds behind highly ranked speedster Book’em Danno in the Alfred G. Vanderbilt (G2) and True North (G3), both at Saratoga, with 106 and 105 Beyer speed figures, respectively.
In preparation for the Breeders’ Cup, Mullikin flew 5 furlongs in 1:00.40 at Keeneland on Friday, October 17.
