New:

Dalliance

From Roadshow Rough Diamond, the award-winning production company behind Offspring, Love My Way, Tangle, The Secret Life of Us and Bump, comes Dalliance, a brand new drama series set around the complex relationships of sixtysomethings who cannot be defined by their age. Dalliance follows Billy (Hugo Weaving), an ex-cameraman, who meets Dani (Heather Mitchell) on the ferry to Sydney Harbor in a clash of worlds. The appeal is clear, and the writing would be on the wall… if Billy weren’t happily married to his wife of 40 years, Rose (Georgie Parker). But everything changes when Billy dies of a sudden heart attack while with Dani. As his friends reunite in his wake and then find their own ways to move on, Billy’s untimely death has far-reaching consequences, as intimate relationships are formed and others broken within the group. Dalliance is sometimes heartbreaking and often hilarious as our friends discover that life, love and sex in their 60s are not what they expected.

Also starring Noah Taylor and Wayne Blair.

TS: “It’s a cross between Secret Life of Us and Melrose Place for the 60s! Iconic leads, we’re really excited about that, I think it’s going to do really well.”

Two years later
Two Years Later is a romantic drama series starring Brenton Thwaites and Phoebe Tonkin. The series, created by screenwriter Pete Bridges, is produced by Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning production company Hoodlum. Thirtysomethings Emily (Tonkin) and Ryan (Twaites) flirted briefly every day on the bus to work. But all that is suddenly changing amid COVID-19 and the abrupt shift to a world of working from home and social isolation. Two years later, the couple reunites and Ryan proposes to go on eight dates, at the end of which will decide whether they get married.

TS: “It’s a beautiful, romantic series with Phoebe Tonkin and Brenton Thwaites. Brisbane is almost one of the characters in the show. You can tell from the early sneak peeks, with the Brisbane ferries and the buses. Other than Bluey, Brisbane has probably never had a starring role in a show like this before. And Phoebe Tonkin is clearly really having a moment. Much loved.”
