The Subaru Forester of the sixth generation is now open to pre-booking in Malaysia prior to the official launch that we assume that it should take place soon. According to Motor Image Malaysia, the SUV today (September 21) is being viewed at Subaru Petaling Jaya before going to selected showrooms nationwide from 27 September.
For the first time worldwide unveiled in November 2023, the newest Forester retains the general form of its predecessor, but has detailed design details. A larger grid with black inserts, two -part front lighting and a busier front bumper provide more visual presence, while the sides get square wheel arches and keep black upholstery together.
Other highlights include small parts of the A and D-pillars in black for the appearance of “floating roof”, and the previous C-shaped rear lights are replaced by triangular units. Under the new metal is an improved Subaru -world platform that sees torsion rise by 10%. In its latest form, the forester measures 4.656 mm long (+31 mm), 1.829 mm wide (+14 mm), 1.730 mm long (unchanged) and his wheelbase spans 2.670 mm (also unchanged).
Inside, the redesigned dashboard of the Forester is comparable to recent models, where vertically oriented infotainment touchscreen is central. This integrates climate control, which reduces the number of tactile controls on the dashboard. Other elements such as the steering wheel and the gear choice remain known to those who have been in the outgoing model.
Based on the Registration of interest pageThe Malaysian specimen will be powered by a 2.5-liter naturally ravaged four-cylinder Boxer petrol engine, which makes 185 PS (182 hp or 136 kW) and 247 Nm of torque in the Indonesian-Specodel. This is linked to Subaru’s Lineartronic CVT and symmetrical four -wheel drive.
Other functions are promoted, double X mode, eight airbags, Eyesight 4.0 (supported by stereo camera, a wide-angle monocular camera and radar sensors), a 360-degree multi-view monitor, a wireless loading pillow, a 10-way driven seat and hands-free driven rear valve.
