  • The 2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing reportedly adds a limited-edition Deep Ocean package that is quite expensive.
  • The kit costs $26,995 and will only be available on a total of 200 cars, according to a post on the Cadillac V-Net forum.
  • Along with a new paint color called Deep Ocean Tintcoat, the Blackwing package brings other blue accents and both carbon fiber packages.

The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is perhaps the best performance sedan money can buy. With a 668-hp supercharged V-8 and an available six-speed manual transmission, the 2026 model’s starting price of $102,795 is a relative bargain compared to competitors like the Audi RS7 ($135,295) and BMW M5 ($125,450). Of course, Cadillac offers several option packages that could boost the bigger Blackwing’s profits, and the latest is as expensive as it is exclusive.

Called the Deep Ocean Package, this new option was first brought to our attention by a post on the Cadillac V-Net forum. The most striking thing was the price, which appears to start at $26,995. However, that includes the Carbon Fiber 1 and 2 packages, as well as the luxury leather interior, totaling $22,470. Other content includes black exterior parts, blue brake calipers, Santorini Blue seat belts and the new Deep Ocean Tintcoat paint, which debuted on the Cadillac Optiq-V.

While a Cadillac spokesperson did not comment Car and driver request to confirm the new package at the time of publication, the details and photos shared on the forum look legit. It also appears that the Deep Ocean-spec CT5-V will go into production sometime next month at Michigan’s Lansing Grand River assembly plant, although Cadillac is expected to build just 200 examples in total, making each example a rare version of our favorite super sedan.

Eric Stafford’s car addiction started before he could walk, and it’s fueled his passion for writing news, reviews and more for Car and driver since 2016. His childhood ambition was to become a millionaire with a Jay Leno-esque car collection. Apparently getting rich is harder than social media influencers make it seem, so he avoided financial success entirely to become an automotive journalist and drive new cars for a living. After earning a journalism degree from Central Michigan University and working at a daily newspaper, the years of essentially burning money on failed project cars and lemon-flavored jalopies finally paid off when Car and driver hired him. His garage currently has a 2010 Acura RDX, a ’97 manual Chevy Camaro Z/28 and a ’90 Honda CRX Si.
