The 2025 high school hockey season is heating up as we kick off in mid-October! We see a lot of “victory circles,” especially at the top of the national rankings. Academy of Notre Dame de Namur (Villanova, Pa.) retains the No. 1 ranking and sits at 15-1 after their first loss of the season on the road at The Hill School (Pottstown, Pa.). Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, Pennsylvania) moves into second place ahead of Villa Maria Academy (Malvern, Pennsylvania) after their 2-1 win over the Hurricanes. In the Mid-Atlantic region, Collegiate School (Richmond, Virginia) moves into first place following their 4-2 win over VISAA Division 1 rival Trinity Episcopal School (Richmond, Virginia). Sacred Heart Academy (Louisville, Kentucky) also moves into first place in the West/MidWest region as they move to 22-0-1 after wins over many of the region’s top teams over the past two weeks.
Our final regular season rankings will be released on Tuesday, October 28. Then we move on to postseason play [On main menu go to: “High School” then select “Postseason Coverage”]with the final 2025 regional top 20 and national top 25 teams being released on Tuesday, November 25.
