Players are eligible to participate if they have been crowned a Grand Champion or won the Players Championship, and must be matched with family members

In 2025, 20 pairs will compete over two days, with Bernhard Langer and son Jason Langer the defending champions after victories in 2023 and 2024.

The competition will take place over two days, with both rounds using a scramble format on Saturday and Sunday.

Both players hit their tee shots and the team selects the better shot. Both players then play their next shot from that location.

This process continues until the hole is completed, with the lowest score for each hole counting toward the team’s total score.

Five different sets of tees, based on age and skill level, are used to form the PNC Championship for all 20 pairs.
