The Open de France was first formed in 1906 as a national championship and was part of the DP World Tour Since 1972 with the exception of 2020 and 2021.
For the 2025 DP World Tour season, the French open movements of Le Golf National, which had organized the tournament since 1991, in Paris to Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Breteche.
It is the first time that Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Breteeche has performed the Open de France since 1982.
Dan Bradbury is the reigning champion after winning the tournament in 2024 at Le Golf National, and is one of the Gokkansen Favorites for the 2025 Open de France.

The Open de France Golf is played in four rounds / 72 holes at Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Breteche. There is a cut after the first two rounds.
- Day 1 – Thursday 18 September
- Day 2 – Friday September 19
- Day 3 – Saturday 20 September
- Day 4 – Sunday September 21
The Open de France has a prize fund of $ 3,250,000, the same as in 2024.
