2025 NFL Preview: Las Vegas Raiders

Greatest strength: offensive improvement

The Raiders are in 31st place in the PFF figure and 32nd in Pff Rushing Grade last season. This season they made an attempt to tackle that by acquiring Quarterback Geno Smith and drawing up that Ashton Jeanty was walking back. Smith recorded an excellent 85.6 PFF -passing figure during his three seasons as a starter of Seattle, eighth best in the NFL. In the meantime Jeanty earned a perfect 99.9 pff -hastles rank during his three seasons in Boise State.

Biggest weakness: Pass -Defense

Las Vegas ’32 .0 Team Pff covering from last season was bound for the lowest deserved by a franchise in the past four seasons. None of their projected experienced starters on cornerback, Safety or Linebacker earned a coverage of 65.0 pff last season. The Raiders’ Pass Rush does not look great either, with Maxx Crosby from a season, Malcolm KoONce returned from a knee injury that kept him outside last season and the interior unit that is missing a prominent threat.

Quarterback Spotlight: Geno Smith

Smith’s surface level 2024 Statistics do not jump off the page, but he was saddled with poor pass protection and inconsistent play group. His 82.4 PFF -passing figure is on the eighth of qualified Quarterbacks, which is the same as his ranking as the time frame would be extended to 2022. One thing that has kept firm for Smith is his excellent deep ball. He became fourth in the NFL last season with a 95.1 deep pff figure, and he leads the NFL with a perfect 99.9 deep pff -passing figure in the past three years.

Offensive player: Te Brock Bowers

Bowers immediately proved last season why he was arrived so high to get out of it Georgia. He set a Rookie Tight final record with 1,194 receiving yards and earned a great 88.4 pff reception grade, third best in the NFL. He also led all the tight ends in Werven after the catch and disputed catches. Bowers must be even more efficient this season with a functional quarterback in Geno Smith. He is already one of the tight ends of the NFL.

Defensive player: Edge Maxx Crosby

Crosby comes from a bit of a down season that was limited by injury. His overall figure of 74.3 pff was his lowest since 2020. His 54 edition until week 14 were still bound for the fifth most in the NFL, and from 2021 to 2023 his 93.2 pff general figure ranked him third among all Edge defenders. Crosby stands in line for a bounce-back season as long as it stays healthy.

Rookie To Watch: RB Ashton Jeanty

Jeanty’s record set performance on Boise State In the past three seasons, he jumped in a top 10 selection in this year’s design. His campaign from 2024 was one for the centuries, when he finished second in the Heisman Trophy Race and the nation led with a 96.6 pff -hasty degree. He also established pff records with 1,970 yards after contact and 152 missed tackles forced.

Jeanty should be a substantial improvement for a Raiders team that did not have any player 500 hasty yards last season.

Fantasy Spotlight: Te Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders

Bowers joined the Raiders in 2024 and immediately became the top position of the competition of the competition. He led the position in receptions and received recruiting as Rookie, which resulted in most fantasy points. Both Trey McBride and George Kittle missed competitions, and each ended something for him in fantasy points per game.

Bowers ’88, 4 pff receiving figure achieved it third under tight ends, behind Kittle and McBride. He is expected to jump over the two tight ends after general improvements in the raiders attack, which leads to more accurate steps that have thrown his way and more touchdowns. However, the team’s coaching staff has a history of using tight final comments, and the Raiders have better runblocking tight ends on the Roster, which can lead to fewer snaps for Bowers this season.

Best bet: RB Ashton Jeanty to score 10+ Hurry TouchDowns (+260)

Jeanty, a first-year player that we have already emphasized this season outside season as a Breakout candidate, has the potential to set fire to the competition. According to the fantasy projections of PFF, it is estimated that Jeanty is achieved more than 9.38 touchdowns, making its basic TouchDown line of 7.5 well in hand. Taking the alternative line of 10 or more scores will be within reach and be many more favorable opportunities.

Bottom Line

The additions of Geno Smith, Ashton Jeanty and several Rookie recipients must immediately improve the Raiders’ attack in the first season of Pete Carroll as head coach. However, their lack of defensive talent, especially in coverage, has probably set a hard cap on the number of victories they can secure in an extremely tough division.
