Five important indications

  • Given limited catch -up opportunities around Monaco, this racing weekend will mainly be about qualifying, which will probably determine much of the final race order.
  • With linear speed less a problem around this high-downforce, there is potential for a mini shock further in the pecking order about some teams.
  • Given the potential for security cars at any time around Monaco and a new mandatory two -topper, this race should throw open mixed tire strategies if some drivers are out of position and walk longer in the hope of periods of the security car.
  • Ferrari will bring their 2024 rear wing sparrow to Monaco, which could be interesting in terms of fitting the SF-25-car setup, and they may be more competitive in qualifying.
  • The upgrades of Red Bull in Imola saw reduced slide, which will be a huge help around this street circuit and enable their drivers to challenge McLaren for Paal in qualifying.

Last time -out

Leclerc led the monaco house doctor from Lights Out to checkered flag for an iconic victory over his home floor in 2024, albeit after a red flag of 40 minutes due to an incident with a first-round with Sergio Perez, Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg.
