Scottie Scheffler has the order on the PGA Tour at the BMW championship, to add another trophy and a huge winner to his migration for the year.
But the top 30 for the Tour Championship was also completed this week, because crucial Fedex Cup points were distributed.
Thanks to five Birdies in the first 10 holes, Rickie Fowler had himself safe in the top 30 and booked his journey to Atlanta after a year away. But in the end he couldn’t close it. Fowler was three left in the last eight holes with two bogeys and one double to fall back to 33rd and to see how his season came to an end.
The same applied to Michael Kim, who looked for a large part of the afternoon Sunday as if he were going into the field for East Lake. He was even projected in 30th place when he played the 72nd hole on Sunday. But his playing partner, Viktor HOVOLAND, made a Birdie Putt on 18, in a tie with Kim on the rankings and took just enough FedEx Cup points away to hit Kim to no. 31.
But while Kim goes home, Chris GotterUp, who shot 68 on Saturday, and Akshay Bhatia (72), both further on the Leaderboard despite Finnish.
And of course FedEx Cup points and the chance of a huge bonus next week were not the only things at stake in Caves Valley this week.
