Two-time PGA Tour winner Robert Macintyre compiled an incredible finish at the BMW championship on Thursday. Macintyre Birdied his last six holes to shoot an eight-under 62 and take a lead of three shots on the way to round 2.
But Macintyre will have to keep the birdies on Friday with various frightening competitors who try to chase him.
Tommy Fleetwood, still looking for his first Tour victory, is second out of five. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is Another shot back on four.

In the opening round of the BMW championship of 2025, Robert Macintyre shoots an 8-under 62 and takes a lead of three shots in Friday.
Rickie Fowler started a great start in his mission to go to the top 30 and to qualify for next week’s Tour Championship. Fowler starts the second round of Friday on three and projected on 26th in the FedEx Cup classification.
Rory Mcilroy is eight shots back after photographing an Even-PAR 70 in the opening round.
Technically, the first round on Friday still has to be completed. Bud Cauley had a long Birdie Putt on 18 when the game was called because of the darkness. Round 2 starts as planned, and Cauley will complete his opening round at 11 am before he starts his second round.
