The 2025 Amgen Irish Open starts this week at the K Club in County Koldare, Ireland, and it has a stars -littered field that includes Rory McIlroy. McIlroy finished his PGA Tour season with a disappointing T27 Fnism on the Tour Championship 2025. But he quickly noted that his season was not nearly over, with several DP World Tour events that pop up. Not to mention the race to the Dubai-season-Season title.
The rest of the season of McIlroy starts this week with Amgen Irish Open, which is something that is open for the five-time big winner that comes from Northern Ireland.
He will be accompanied by his European Ryder Cup teammate, Ireland’s own Shane Lowry, and the European team captain Luke Donald.
And because this is a DP World Tour event and not Sactioned by the PGA Tour, there are also many LIV golf stars in the field. They play his Patrick Reed, Tyrrell Hatton, Brooks Koepka and Tom McKibbin, to name just a few.
Sergio Garcia was expected to pop up, but he withdrew his disappointment in not earning the choice of a captain to play this year’s Ryder Cup.
