If you travel almost all the time, do you have time to dream about new destinations? Well, we have a whole host of travel destinations that we fantasize about. There are places that we have been thinking about for a long time, or that we have recently found inspiration for…
Our dream destinations
What is a dream destination? For us, they are places that we became curious about after hearing or reading about them, or perhaps seeing photos or films. Sometimes they are places that are far away or expensive to visit – and in some cases they are places we may never visit. In other cases, they are places we really hope to visit one day!
1. Spitsbergen
Svalbard is an exotic place that we both dream of visiting one day. As a young person, I (Helena) already explored the possibilities of traveling here, but the costs put a dampener on the wheel. It would be special to experience this northern archipelago once in your life!

2. Japan
Japan has an exotic look and we have always been fascinated by both the culture and the food. Now that there are direct flights from Sweden, Japan has clearly emerged as a possible destination.

3. South Korea
South Korea has become increasingly popular as a travel destination. To start, we were inspired by other bloggers and content creators. Then we saw the TV series “Pachinko”, which tells the story of a Korean family through several generations, and after that the interest increased even more.

4. Romania
We have been curious about Romania for a long time. How exciting does it sound to visit Transylvania? Our guest writers also told inspiring stories about both Bucharest and the Romanian countryside. We are even thinking about bringing the camper here, but that won’t be this year because we have other plans.

5. Berlin
How is it possible that we haven’t been to Berlin yet? Yes, you can ask yourself that, and it is certainly not an impossible destination. We want to discover this city one day. Seems exciting in many ways!

6. The Stan Lands
We have visited Uzbekistan three times now and we love the feeling of experiencing a completely different culture. Somehow the experiences become extra strong and you get that intense feeling of being real are travelling. But there are more city countries and it would also be interesting to visit, for example, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan.

7. Canada
We visited Halifax once because I was there for a conference during my time as a PhD student. But the enormous country of Canada is so much more! We envision train journeys and dazzling landscapes…

8. Scotland
A few years ago we traveled through Ireland and Northern Ireland in a camper. Fantastic! We think we’d like Scotland too – the windswept landscape and all the history. Fascinating!

9. Nepal
Nepal just feels So exotic, different and exciting. Yes, it would be very interesting to experience this place in the world one day!

10. Taiwan
A few years ago we were at an event about Taiwan. Inspiring! It turned out that Taiwan has a lot to offer, in terms of nature, city life, indigenous cultures, festivals and much more.

11. Finnish Lapland
Finnish Lapland gets a lot of visibility on social media. Foreign influencers make the snowy landscape look incredibly dreamy – with dog sled rides and starry skies. Besides…who doesn’t want to meet Santa Claus?

12. The Azores
The Azores are also called ‘Europe’s Hawaii’ and really feel like an exotic and exciting place. Every time we go to a fair, we look at pictures of the Azores and get hungry for travel.

13. South and Central America
We have not traveled in these deals and therefore it is difficult to select specific countries or places, but it would certainly be interesting to visit Bolivia, Peru or El Salvador, for example.

14. Namibia
We’ve seen some absolutely fantastic photos, both on Instagram and on blogs. What a landscape! We have been dreaming of visiting Namibia for a long time, so it naturally feels fantastic that the country is on our agenda this year.

15. The Norwegian coast
Of course we have already been to Norway a few times and have visited beautiful Bodö, among other places. We do have large parts of the Norwegian coast not seen. A dream trip would be to travel on one of the boats – Hurtigruten or Havila Kystruten. Another option is to take the camper with us, and we plan to do that this summer!
