11.21 Friday Favorites – The Fitnessista

Hello friends! Happy Friday and have fun Bad day!! Are you going? Have you gone yet?? The girls and I are going as soon as they get home from school and I can’t even wait. (I’m a little more excited than they are, but they’re good sports and they know they’ll get a movie lunch and dessert on the side.)

In other news: P went back to school today. I’ll share more in an upcoming post (and probably talk all about it Substack in the meantime), but it’s the end of a homeschooling era. It was never meant to be a permanent thing unless it was necessary, and she was ready to go back to her friends and teachers. I’m happy for her, cautiously optimistic, and emotionally kind of a secret mess. I know I will spend most of the morning crying on and off with complex emotions, and probably crying some more Bad so there you go.

For now, it’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. Here I share some of my favorite finds of the week and around the web. I always love hearing about your favorites too, so please shout out something you like in the comments below.

My top picks:

Dr. Cabral 7-day detox
My favorite quarterly reset. It can help reduce toxic loads, improve digestion, increase energy and reduce inflammation. For anyone feeling “bloated” or sluggish, this is always step one. I’m already looking forward to our community detox in January!

Laboratory test for stress, mood and metabolism
One of my favorite functional tests because it provides so much insight into hormones, thyroid, cortisol and metabolism in one panel. This is the test I recommend for my perimenopausal clients, and for those who have sleep problems, PMS, low mood/energy, resistance to weight loss, and fatigue.

Minerals and metals HTMA test
The best snapshot of your mineral status, stress, metabolism and toxic metal exposure. This is great for anyone dealing with fatigue, hair loss, weight plateaus or anxiety.

Daily nutritional support
My daily multivitamin + protein powder + detox support in one. Café Latte does delicious. I have DNS every day.

Higher DOSE

I own many of the products they make and they are all an important part of my routine. If I had to narrow it down to my top picks, it would be these:

Sauna blanket
Still one of my best wellness purchases of all time. It can improve circulation, support the detoxification process, help calm the nervous system, and leave you with that “I just did a workout and a meditation” feeling after the session. I use it at least once a week.

Pemf Go mat
My daily grounding tool. This can help calm the stress response, improve deep sleep and balance the nervous system. Perfect for reading, meditating or using at your desk.

Red light face mask or Neck booster
Great for collagen, skin texture and can reduce inflammation. I like to combine red light with castor oil packs for the ultimate habit stack.

Huge sale on rails! I connected all my favorites here.

Old Navy also has an early sale with 50% off. I love all holiday outfits. This is the skirt I wore for our family photos.

Even if you have one Amex Platinumnow it’s time to buy a new Oura ring. My Oura ring was OLD and chunky, and I wanted to upgrade to one of the new, slim, rose gold options. At Amex you get a $200 Oura credit, so at the sale my new one was $170!

Make sure View all my gift guides here – I’ll add more next week! – and will also have a Black Friday hub page for easy Friday shopping.

Read, watch, listen:

Are you watching? Dancing with the stars? I was shocked that Whitney went home before the finale, but we’re all here cheering for Robert. I’m excited to see what happens!

I’m so ready for this.

I enjoyed this podcast episode.

Fitness, health and good nutrition:

This clean eating sweet potato casserole.

My FAVORITE Ina Garden cake; I just use gluten free crust.

Make-ahead vegan green bean casserole.

The tastiest fresh cranberry sauce.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! Have a great weekend and I’ll see you soon!

xoxo

Gina
