A few Cheltenham has sold their mansion designed by the architect for $ 1,725 million, with the result freeing the way for their retirement on the NSW Central Coast.
Roland and Ingrid Hendricks watched how their house went under the hammer with three bedrooms and three bathrooms at 19B Davie Ave on Saturday.
Two families competed for the keys, with a moving West -Australian buyer who surpassed a local underbidder to secure the building at the top of the quoted range.
“We are very happy with the outcome,” said Hendricks.

“It delivered exactly the result we wanted. Of course there is also a bit of sorrow, it was a beautiful home for us.”
The couple bought the Pennydale block four years ago as a knockdown-rebuild site, drawn in the bag for his lifestyle and convenience.
“The location was the big drawcard, Southland nearby, easy access to Nepean Highway and Eastlink, golf courses and the beach just a few minutes away. It tapped all the boxes,” Mr Hendricks said.
Seamless indoors – outstream made this house perfect for entertainment.
Polished concrete floors and rising ceilings anchor the most important living zone.
The mansion became both a basis for work and a place to meet with family.
“We all had our own office, so it sometimes felt almost businesslike, coffee in the morning, then in our offices, to meet again for lunch,” he said.

Christmass spent with their sons and grandchildren were highlights, while the couple also gave priority to sustainability.

Solar panels and a Tesla battery have reduced their bills to almost nothing.
“We didn’t pay a cent in the past year,” said Hendricks.
“It was not just about savings, it was about being environmentally conscious and future -oriented.”
He said the auction result exceeded expectations after a softer 12 months in the market.
Full-length joinery and exterior access increase daily functionality.
The Hendricks say that Family Christmas was a highlight here.
“We have no skimped finishes, and it is both stylish and practical. Buyers recognized that.”
The Hendricks are now preparing to move Noord after years of planning.
“The central coast has always been our pension destination,” said Hendricks.
“This sale gives us the freedom to finally take that step.”
“This house has been comfortable and satisfying, we hope that the new owners will feel the same warmth that we have.”
