'Zootopia 2' breaks box office records with a worldwide opening of $556 million

“Zootopia 2” is now the highest worldwide animated film opening of all time. The Disney sequel earned $156 million domestically in its five-day opening weekend and more than $556 million worldwide.

“Zootopia 2” is now in theaters and On The Red Carpet is celebrating with a special episode that takes you back to the making of the new film and to the world premiere with the all-star cast!

For the rest of the weekend box office, “Wicked: For Good” easily took second place with $62 million.

It’s almost a copy-and-paste of last year, when “Wicked” and another animated Disney sequel, “Moana 2,” drew huge audiences to theaters over Thanksgiving weekend.

“Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” reached number three in its third weekend with $7 million.
