The Phoenix Suns may have applied a number of enormous selection to change this season out of season by losing both Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal – with national media that showed up based on the release of their schedule – but there were also some huge movements made with the coaching staff of the franchise. Jordan Ott gets the chance to prove himself as a head coach for the first time.
The team that he has built around him is also young, and it is hoped that their fresh approach can be a welcome addition to the valley after Veterans Frank Vogel and Mike Budenholzer have quickly overlooked their welcome. Crucial for OTT – because the Suns are clearly in a phase of re -driving around Devin Booker – he will also be given the time to implement his vision.
Suns that brings Steve Clifford into a wise decision for this season.
A step that the organization recently made that nobody saw arrived was that they brought in the leading man Steve Clifford of former Charlotte Hornets in an advisory role. The 63-year-old has a wealth of knowledge of his various stops around the competition, and for those who score at home, he is the third person who jumps from Charlotte to Phoenix since the Handelsdeadline last season.

The first was Nick Richards – who is probably in the trade block after the arrival of Kaman Maluach via the NBA design – but it is colleague – center Mark Williams who will certainly be happy with this development. The 23-year-old played for the first time under Clifford when he came to the competition and who has yet to play for the Suns that arrived shortly after Maluach.
It can never hurt to have a familiar face in a new environment, and the title for Clifford is also the right one. Unfortunately, in the past seasons, he had some health problems that had forced him to scale back his involvement in the Hornets, which meant that his head coach was finally completely after moving to the front office.
It will be comparable in Phoenix, where he can help both Williams if he settles, but also Ott. It was interesting to note that David Fizdale was not mentioned on the OTT coaching staff, even though they were sitting next to Vogel and Budenholzer on the couch. Not only that, but Fizdale apparently came deeper into the head coach looking for the Suns themselves, thanks in part to his relationship with Booker.
Continuing him in favor of a new start is logical, but also having a real veteran to give advice when they are called, while it is not really on the couch every night and traveling with the team. It was a movement that nobody saw coming, but it will benefit everyone from Ott to Williams, and that can only be a good thing for the suns that will be on their way next season.
