Zensky Vows Russia will not seize Ukrainian country during the war while Trump is preparing for a meeting with Putin

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zensky promised that he will not give up a country that Russia seized during his three -year invasion, because President Trump is planning to meet Vladimir Putin in an attempt to end the war.

“The Ukrainian people deserve peace. But all partners must understand what a worthy peace is,” Zensky told his countrymen in one Video -Speech posted on X. “This war must put an end – and Russia has to end it. Russia has started and drags it out, ignores all deadlines, and that is the problem, not something else.

“We are ready to work with President Trump, together with all our partners, for real and, more importantly, permanent peace. A peace that will not collapse because of the desires of Moscow,” he said.

Zensky’s speech on Saturday morning comes hours after Trump has announced his plans to meet Putin in Alaska on 15 August.

“Very far away from this war, which is raging on our country, against our people, and who anyway cannot be ended without us, without Ukraine,” said Zensky.

Zensky warned that he will not allow Russia to be rewarded with Ukrainian country if a peace agreement with the US will be reached.

“All the decisions that are against us, all decisions that are without Ukraine are at the same time decisions against peace. They will not achieve anything. These are stillborn decisions. They are unworkable decisions. And we all need real and sincere peace,” was an eye on the Xpost of Zensky.

The 47-year-old leader destroyed his Russian opponent because he had not considered Ukrainian citizens when he launched the attacks on the European nation.

“Putin did not believe in our people and therefore made the hopeless decision to try to make Ukraine. This was his most important mistake, not taking into account Ukrainians,” Zensky said.

“I believe in our people. Ukrainians are strong. Ukrainians defend what is of them. Many in the world have chosen the side of Ukraine during the war. Even those who are at Russia know that Russia is angry,” he added.

The long-awaited encounter between Trump and Putin is the last attempt by the 79-year-old supreme commander to destroy the deadly conflict that started when Russia launched his invasion of his Western neighbor on February 24, 2022.

Trump announced the top to reporters in the White House on Friday, but an exact location was not revealed.

The dual president said he wanted to meet Putin as quickly as possible, but safety problems delayed the announcement.

“It would have been before, but I think there are security schemes that unfortunately have to make people. Otherwise I would do it much faster. He would do that too. He would like to meet each other as soon as possible. I agree,” he said.

Trump later confirmed the Alaska meeting of the Middle Augustus about Truth Social.

“The long -awaited encounter between myself, as president of the United States of America, and President Vladimir Putin, from Russia, will take place next Friday, August 15, 2025 in the great state of Alaska,” the president wrote.

“Further details to follow. Thank you for your attention for this issue!” he added.
