All eyes on the WJC these next two weeks where we see a glimpse of the future.
Both Bronze medal winners of last year compete. Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah won the AJC that Yang Ming Yu Liu defeated. Ubaidillah (WR70) goes to Senior International Tournaments in the recent Korea and Hong Kong opens while LIU has only been introduced international junior tournaments (winner of the German and Dutch junior)
WS 2024 Gold medal winner Xu Wen Jing had a bad tournament in the AJC that surprisingly lost in the R16. Even more surprising is the absence of AJC gold medal winner Yin Yiqing. All eyes on Home Nation India’s Tanvi Sharma (16YO) and Vennala Kalagotla (17YO) who won both bronze medals at the AJC. Vennala was the surprise with a great run in the AJC.
MD – All medal winners of previous years have moved to the senior level
WD – Chen fan Shu Tian won the AJC with new partner CAO Zi Han (also 2024 AJC Bronze MXD). This pair must be the hot favorite. A big blow to Malaysia, because Dania Sofea recently torn her ACL and has undergone surgery. Rinjani Kwinnara Nastine Partners Riska Anggrani (2025 AJC Bronze)
