Yoga, babies, snow chaos and new winter boots – Travel Friday

Another week to go and with it came the first snow of the season. And not even a little! The trams throughout Sweden were on standby and I had reason to pick out my new winter boots. Here comes Friday five of this week with goodies from a November week in 2025.

Yoga, babies, snow chaos and new winter boots

#1. Nice visit and baby cuddles

Last weekend was a very nice weekend. Little sister and nephew finally came to visit…

…and I had to throw around with a five-month-old baby on my stomach. Babies in carriers are good stuff!

Big sister turned two years old and we had to sort out the heavy entertainment equipment here at home. An hourglass became a syringe, playing cards became band-aids and the Lego houses were dissected down to the smallest part. I thought Real about early childhood…

…maybe it will turn out that way? It’s been a long time since I looked this *satisfied*.

#2. Pastries

Pleasant visits require fine pastries…

…which were bought at the Chokladhuset here in Nynäshamn. I wrote last week about the mistake of buying the viral “Trompe-l’oeil” pastries at the Mall of Scandinavia. I have rarely seen more careless (and expensive) pastries.

I thank our local entrepreneurs who put heart and soul into their creations.

#3. Yoga and padel

Every now and then I get an impulse and try to tackle my yoga career.

This week it happened again. I posted a story on Instagram feeling ashamed of my immobility. Today I have pain in every muscle in my entire body, even though I could barely complete one exercise completely. Oh well. At least now I’m working. AGAIN!

I also hung out a lot in the padel hall, both for work and relaxation. This time of year it is extra nice to be there. This weekend I thought I’d get out there and start decorating for Christmas – it’s high time.

#4. Boots and winter coat

And speaking of Christmas decorations: the whole of Nynäshamn is covered in a thick layer of snow. We just had time to change the winter tires before the first flakes started to fall…

…and the fact is that I now also have winter tires on my feet. Icebug’s new boots worked EXACTLY as well as I hoped. I’m already nominating them as my purchase of the year.

My new old winter coat also has to work hard. I bought it unused (tags and all!) at a thrift store and I’m pleased.

#5. PMS lock on the mobile?

Alcolocks on cars are no stranger, but this week I seriously considered whether someone should introduce PMS locks on various mobile phones. Mine, for example. Post this story…

…but deleted it after a few minutes and then put the phone away. Is there even anything more self-destructive than opening the Instagram app during the “wrong” time of month!? I personally solved the mobile dilemma by finishing off the rest of these delicious saffron rolls. Run and buy if you haven’t tasted yet.

And with these five points I say thank you and hello to this snowy November week. Have a nice weekend to you!
