Chicago – For the Yankees this week represents the equivalent of squirrels that make fat before the winter months.

Nobody said it should be beautiful, but they just keep doing the job with stiffer tests ahead.

When they came from a sweep from the humble subjects, the Yankees continued to take advantage of a weakness on the schedule with their fifth consecutive victory and the White Sox 10-4 defeated in the opener of a four-game set on Thursday evening at Rate Field.

A two-week gantlet is waiting after this weekend, but in the meantime the Yankees (74-60) crushed three home runs to keep pace with the Red Sox, having a half game chased them for the top Al Wild-Card Spot and within four games of the Idle Blue Jays for the Al East Lead.

The Yankees also benefited from a cunning defense by the White Sox (48-86) owners of the second worst record in the Majors and survived their own crucial error by Anthony Volpe who led to four units of Warren.

Volpe tried to make up for the expensive mistake by going 2-out-3 with a sacrificial fly and a run scored after entering the night entangled in a 1-out-37 skid.

In the relief of Warren, who worked through five innings, Fernando Cruz, Luke Weaver, Devin Williams and Mark Leiter Jr. To throw four perfect innings with seven strikeouts to close the victory.

After they had closed six home runs in the drubing of Wednesday’s Nationals, the Yankees continued where they had gone when Beller crushed a two-run gay for Davis Martin in the first half of the first inning.

Chishholm then distracted the second inning with a solo shot, his 26th of the season – bind him with Bellinger and (temporary) Grisham for second place in the team behind Aaron Judge.

Volpe, who doubled for his first hit since last Tuesday, reached an error in the second inning.

He then stole second base and came around to score on the single by Ben Rice who made the score on 4-0.

The White Sox came back to bind the game in the bottom of the second on a rally that started with Volpe’s Al-High 18th error of the season, with the Groundball of Edgar Quero in the middle.

Warren did not help himself either, when he issued a one-out walk and then hit a batter before he had to take the second zero the third.

But giving away the extra came back to hurt the Yankees, as it often hurts, when Miguel Vargas crushed a Grand Slam from Warren who bonded him 4-4.

Warren continued with five innings, with the four undeserved runs that represent all damage to him.

The Yankees took the lead forever at the top of the fifth.

After Rice had left with a single, Judge hit a helicopter to the third place that Curtis Mead Field and drove to the first place, so that Vargas was cut by Harm Bamed when his vast hand was cut by the right.

Vargas hit the deck in the pain while the pitch skipped through him, allowing rice to score to make the score 5-4.

Bellinger then came up and hit a double to the right field that made Ex-Yankee Mike Tauchman almost a great jumping grip, only for the ball to jump out of his glove.

Judge then scored third place on Chisholm’s OfferFly.

The Yankees added in the eighth inning, which started with the third mistake of the White Sox of the Night.

Ryan McMahon followed a Double and Volpe a sacrificial battle before Grisham went deep for the fourth time in his last five games, a shot with two run to set the Yankees with 9-4.

Paul Goldschmidt added a sacrificial fly-it-third of the night of the Yankees-in the ninth to bring the score to 10-4.
