X has added some new elements to the updated DM interface, which calls it ‘XChat’, including the possibility to search for your X DMs, an option to block DMs from a specific user, extensive push notifications and more.
X launched its new chat last month, with end-to-end coding standard, and a newly renewed DM-Back end.
The updated XChat is currently only available for Premium subscribers, but at least conceptually the updated DM infrastructure will play a key role in the “Everything app” vision of Elon Musk for the future of the platform.
In accordance with this, X is now building XChat with a series of well -known DM functions, including improved blocking in the chat interface.

As you can see, X has also added a new search in the new DM UI, so that it has been brought more into line with other message options.
X has also added typing indicators, which improves the real -time engine feeling.

Although it has also been added inbox reactions, as well as new push reports for answers and entries.
As noted, these are not important evolutions in the broader sense of messages onion, but these are important updates for X’s revised message system, which can ultimately play a key role in facilitating the next phase of X’s evolution.
That will be centered around payments and facilitates transactions in-stream. X still develops his payments back-end, which means that users eventually (it) hopes to transfer money, make purchases and even replace their bank with their X account.
Connection to messages can play a key role in this, with a direct, coded connection process, which can also be where you transfer funds. That would match Elon’s vision to re -create Wechat for the Western world, where messages are the central connector that connects the various systems of WeChat.
That is why these updates are important, even if they are not overly exciting.
It is still to be seen whether someone actually wants to use X for messages for messages, or for bank and financial transactions, but that, at least in theory, is still where Elon and Co. go.
