WTA Rankings Report – from September 15, 2025 – Open Court

Two post -ing open events with weaker fields means great opportunities for everyone.

Those who got on the board to take advantage are those who leave those tournaments with beautiful checks and beautiful bumps in the ranking.

But this week’s rankings update – about the disadvantage – also shows what happens to players who seize that opportunity, work with their improved circumstances for a year, but cannot support it a year later.

See what happened with 2024 Guadalajara -finalist Olivia Gadecki’s ranking: it just fell through the floor.

There are no changes in the top 20.

Tanantanaa Rakotomanga Rajaonah (FRA): nr. 228 ============> Nr. 131 (The 19-year-old, who played the qualification at US Open for the first time a few weeks ago, jumps in the top 150 with an unexpected first WTA Tour title in Sao Paulo. Storm Hunter (AUS): No. 1269 =============> Nr. 624 (Hunter, usually known as a double player, played a number of good singles and reached a career High no. 114 when she tore her Achilles and missed a year. Frech has the fourth round points in Beijing and quarter-final points in Wuhan to defend in the coming weeks).

Marie Buzkova (Jun): No. 48 ==============> Nr. 54 (Bouzkova plays as much as everyone else, and she has had good success in Mexico, where she is partly popular because she speaks Spanish fluently.
