Wrexham Forward, Paul Mullin has made a loan switch to League One’s Wigan Athletic for the 2025-26 season.

Mullins has spent the past four years in Wrexham, in which he achieved three consecutive promotions from National League to Championship in the past three seasons.

The 30-year-old attacker, however, fell out of grace with manager last season, Phil Parkinson, because he only led five goals in 32 performances in all competitions, which led the club to punish his move to League One on loan in Wigan for the new season.

Speaking of his move to Wigan, Mullin said that he is ‘excited’ to start a new chapter and hopeful that he can take manager, Ryan Lowe’s ‘Trust in the season and really make it successful’.

Mullin also promised to make his absolute effort for Wigan this coming season, even though he scored 110 goals for Wrexham in the last four seasons.

“As a player I absolutely give everything and I work as hard as I can.

“I have scored many goals in recent years, but above all I give my absolutely everything for the club I play for, and I will do that again with Wigan.”

Lowe added that he is’ pleased ‘to’ sign ‘a proven target scorer’ in Mullin who knows how to achieve promotion.

“In his last three seasons, he won promotion with Wrexham AFC and will add firepower, know -how and experience to the group, which is really important.

“He is here because he is hungry to score more goals, win games and contribute to Wigan Athletic Football Club.”

Wrexham -Baas, Parkinson’s wishes Mullin good for his loan movement, because he explained that he hopes that the loan will make the attacker possible to rediscover regular football.

“I would like to wish Paul the best for his loan movement.

“It is a good opportunity for him to regularly play first team football again and I am sure he will be a great signing for Wigan Athletic.”
