A historic agreement aims to grow the sport globally and ensure it is accessible to all
The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and World ParaVolley (WPV) have signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote volleyball in all its forms and ensure it becomes more accessible and inclusive.
The MoU represents an important step in building better cooperation between the two organizations. Together, the FIVB and WPV strive to increase participation, make the sport more accessible to all and leverage the social value of volleyball to empower individuals. Their joint efforts will focus on strengthening individuals and communities by using sport as a tool to build life skills, promote inclusion and inspire positive change.
The partnership will promote shared programs and initiatives at national, regional and local levels. Both organizations will also look for opportunities to align events, integrate ParaVolley experiences at major competitions and coordinate communications across digital platforms, campaigns and media channels.
The FIVB and WPV will also seek to collaborate on social impact projects, knowledge exchange and educational initiatives for coaches to promote awareness of inclusion and ParaVolley disciplines.
The agreement also paves the way for closer alignment between the structures of both organizations, creating sustainable synergies that will strengthen the development of volleyball worldwide.
