The ICC World Cup World Cup 2025 is organized by India and Sri Lanka from 30 September to 2 November. For the first time, the ticket prices are filled at RS 100, making it the most affordable ICC Global event ever.
Ticket sales started on Thursday with a four -day presale. Fans can buy tickets for all competitions in India and Sri Lanka via Google Pay on the official website tickets.cricketworldcup.com. The presale runs until 8 September.
General sales will be opened on 9 September at 8 p.m. The move is part of the exclusive partnership of the ICC with Google to stimulate fans’ involvement in cricket for women.
This step is focused on filling stadiums and making the sport more accessible. In the World Cup of 2022 in Nieuw -Zeeland, the ticket prices were much higher, with children’s tickets on NZD 7 and tickets for adults at NZD 17, almost eight times more expensive than the new rates.
The tournament starts on September 30 with an opening ceremony in Guwahati. Singer Shreya Ghoshal will perform live and also presents the official anthem with the title Bring It Home. In the first match, Co-hosts India will be confronted with Sri Lanka.
Eight teams participate in the event. They are India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, England and South Africa.
The ICC has also confirmed a prize pool of 13.88 million USD for the tournament, which is almost four times the amount granted in 2022.
