The incident surfaced in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida on Sunday when GIMS Hospital alerted police that a foreigner had been brought in with fatal stab wounds. By the time doctors examined him, he was already dead.
The police rushed to the hospital and started an investigation.
The deceased was identified as Duck Jee Yuh, a South Korean national. He worked as a branch manager at a reputed mobile phone company, police said.
The woman who rushed him to the hospital was identified as Lunjeana Pamai, a resident of Manipur. During continued interrogation, she admitted to stabbing her live-in partner with a knife.
According to police, the couple had been living together for two years.
According to investigators, the couple was drinking alcohol late into the night when an argument broke out over an undisclosed matter. The verbal argument quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
“In a fit of anger during the scuffle, the woman stabbed him in the chest. The wound was deep and he started bleeding profusely,” a police officer said.
Realizing the severity of the injury, she took him to GIMS hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Early in the morning, a memo was sent to the police, after which the full series of events came to light.
Police said, “A South Korean national, Duck Hee Yuh, was brought dead to GIMS Hospital on January 4, 2026. Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was admitted to hospital by Lunjeana Pamai, a resident of Thangal, Manipur. During investigation, police found that the accused woman had allegedly stabbed him to death with a knife. The two had been living together in a live-in relationship for quite some time. A case has been registered at the Kennispark Police Station and the accused woman have been arrested. Further investigations into the circumstances and motive behind the murder are ongoing.”
Police investigating the case said the relationship was far from smooth. The South Korean national is said to have been drinking heavily and regularly assaulted the woman, leading to repeated arguments between the two.
The suspect told police she did not intend to kill him and that the stabbing occurred during the altercation. Agents said they are verifying her claims as part of the ongoing investigation.
The police filed a report and arrested the suspicious woman. She remains in custody and is being interrogated to piece together the events leading up to the murder.
The officials said further legal action will follow based on the investigation’s findings.
