A woman from Florida was arrested after the police said she was drowned her dog In a bathroom in Orlando airport so that she could board an airplane.

Alison Lawrence, 57, was arrested on Tuesday after the incident that took place at the end of last year at Orlando International Airport.

Lawrence had arrived at the airport on December 16 for a flight with her dog, Tywinn, according to a termination of the Orlando police, obtained by NBC partner Wesh.

Surveillance cameras at the airport showed that Lawrence arrived with the dog, mentioned as a 9-year-old miniature schnauzer.

But Lawrence did not have the right paperwork to have the dog board on the plane and was told that she could not fly with Tywinn, the explanation said.

That is when Lawrence makes its way to a bathroom in the airport, where an employee saw her sitting on the bathroom floor of a stall that cleaned up a large amount of water and food, said the sworn explanation.

The employee left and returned to remove a garbage bag, and inside the dog’s body and accessories, including a collar with a dog tag, said the explanation.

Lawrence’s name and contact details were on the Dog Tag, and Animal Services responded and helped to identify the dog using his chip, said the explanation.

It was later established that the death of Tywinn was drowned.

Lawrence “is supposed to have taken extreme and tragic action by killing the dog,” said the explanation.

Lawrence was arrested in Lake County on Tuesday and is confronted with a worsened indictment against animal abuse.
