The American Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) said in a document that has quietly updated on its website that it is committed to the safety and well -being of all participants. It refers to the command of Trump, officially called ‘men from women’s sports’, by his order number and refers to the TED Stevens Olympic & Amateur Sports Act, which founded the American Olympic Committee.
“The USOPC will continue to collaborate with various stakeholders with supervision of responsibilities … to ensure that women have a fair and safe competition environment that is consistent with Executive Order 14201 and the TED Stevens Olympic & Amateur Sports Act.”
