Wilson left St. James’ Park at the end of last season after the expiry of his contract and put Pen on paper on a one -year contract with West Ham.
The 33-year-old came to Newcastle in September 2020 and made 130 performances in all competitions, while they yielded a total of 49 goals.

“I am excited to become a member of a huge football club such as West Ham,” Wilson told the club website.
“A club that shares a similar passion like mine, hard work, dedication and I also strive for success, so I am happy to be part of it.
“I am looking forward to the challenge. There is such a talent in the team. And clearly comes the Gaffer who is coming in, he makes everyone a team – all in the same direction to reach the goal, that is to end as high as possible in the competition, and it is what the fans deserve, what the team deserves, and it is what deserves the quality of the team.”
In general, Wilson made 239 performances in the Premier League during his time at Bournemouth and Newcastle, with 88 goals.
His best scoring season arrived in 2022-23 when he scored 18 times and finished fifth in the race for the Golden Boot that season.
Wilson was able to make his Premier League debut against newly promoted Sunderland in the Opener of West Ham on August 16.
