BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla also reacted to the tragic news. He expressed his grief and said the loss is extremely heartbreaking. He said that Rinku’s father had been struggling for a long time and the family had faced many hardships over the years.
Rajeev Shukla was quoted by ANI: “The news of Rinku Singh’s father’s death is very heartbreaking. He was ill for a year… He had a lot of struggles in his life… Rinku is also very upset… This is very sad… I pay my tribute to him.”

Rinku Singh is likely to miss the crucial Super 8 match against West Indies
