Jeff Stelling has declared that shockingly Chelsea Head coach Enzo Maresca is on his way to the new Premier League season, after the impressive first season he had in the club
Maresca has worked wonders since the replacement of Mauricio Pochettino last year, so that the blues helped the Conference League and Club World Cup in recent months and build a side that is able to win that Premier League title.
But Voetbalpundit Stelling has fired a huge warning to Maresca if Chelsea suffers a bad start of the 2025-26 campaign, as in a Talksport YouTube video entitled ‘Maresca and Amorim are a great danger to be fired if they have bad starts, he would not agree with this’.
‘Club World Cup winners and spend a fortune, Enzo has to deliver Maresca. He is now under pressure because there is expectation on him.
‘They have four London derby’s in their first four games and then Manchester United Weg, Brighton at home, Liverpool at home and Nottingham Forest Weg.
‘It is a tough, tough start and they have not had much a break [over the summer].
“If they start badly, I think people will say:” We expect more than that ” – because people now expect more from Chelsea.
‘As winners of the club World Cup, go there and do brilliant … Chelsea is expected to produce in the Premier League, and that also applies to Maresca.
‘I am not saying that he will be fired after eight games and in fact they can have a great start.
“They could win them all – but if they don’t do that – I just say he would be under pressure.”
