What is the number so far when it comes to Newcastle United’s TV matches?
That is, live United matches that can (legally…) be watched by people in Britain.
Ten matches have been played so far in all competitions and nine of the ten were Newcastle United TV matches shown live on various channels (Sky, TNT…).
The only exception was Wolves at home, the only NUFC match so far on Saturday at 3pm.
With the greatly expanded Sky Sports deal regarding showing Premier League matches live, this means that only the few that remain on Saturdays at 3pm will not be able to be watched by British viewers.
We currently know the details of all of Newcastle United’s next ten matches until the end of November 2025.
By the end of next month, 17 of the 20 NUFC games will have been shown live to a UK TV audience. All Carabao Cup matches are shown on Sky Sports and all Champions League matches are all televised.
So apart from the Wolves match at SJP in September, the next two Premier League matches will not be shown on any channel legally available to UK viewers, as the away games at Brighton and the home game against Fulham on Saturday have remained at 3pm.
The three Champions League matches in December 2025 and January 2026 will of course also be shown live, as will all other Carabao Cup matches if United get past Spurs in two weeks.
Today (Wednesday, October 15, 2025) should be the deadline by which Premier League match relocations (especially as broadcasters select them) in December 2025 and January 2026 must be communicated. That could potentially be another eleven Newcastle United TV matches, one of the eleven is already guaranteed when Villa visit SJP in January as they have a Europa League match the Thursday before.
