I’ve tried quite a few golf training tools over the years, and while some have been total flops, this year there was one that became my best purchase of 2025: the Short Game Gains Trigon Toolkit. This simple yet effective tool has completely changed my approach to putting, which is why it became a regular part of my game this season.
Short game gets Trigon Toolkit
Our most innovative bundle yet, the Trigon Toolkit comes with 4 well tools. First, the Steel Trigon Mirror is a double-sided reflective plate for checking eye line, practicing starting line, face alignment, aiming and enforcing center contact. It also acts as a stencil and works with the Putting Chalk Pens to create an identical alignment setup on grass. Next, the Trigon Toolkit includes a double-sided, reflective steel shoulder alignment mirror. The other side acts as a ruler to measure setup and calibrate your stroke length. Additionally, this bundle includes 2 Putting Chalk Pens filled with non-toxic water-based chalk for creating guidelines, alignment marks and starting line graphics. These are easy to wipe off with a damp cloth and do not damage or kill the grass. Finally, this kit includes a retractable aiming cord. This can be used to align the Trigon to a desired target point, whether this is the hole or a secondary point. This not only helps with aiming, but also with starting line and green reading. Perfect alignment, every time
Good alignment is critical on the green. Not only is it the foundation for a solid putting stroke, but it’s also essential for starting putts online and ensuring you aim correctly. That’s why this putting mirror from Short Game Gains has become one of my favorite tools.
This tool allows me to confirm that my eye position is correct — something that directly affects the way the putter sight is aimed. Checking this with every putt helps me ensure I have proper alignment before I even take the putter back. I can also use the mirror to check that my body alignment is square to the target, which is crucial for a consistent shot.
Build a consistent stroke
This putting mirror is double-sided, which means I can not only fine-tune my alignment, but also track my stroke length. This was the missing piece in my putting game that finally clicked, all thanks to this tool.
This training aid has helped me develop a 60-40 putting stroke, and it has made a huge difference in my distance control, touch and overall performance on the green. Now not only do I feel more confident in my pace and feel, but it also translates into fewer three-putts – something that previously ruined my rounds.
Tour-level practice sessions
But perhaps the best thing about the Trigon Toolkit is that it was designed by two tour players, Fredrik Lindblom and Hannah Gregg. Built by pros for pros, it gives amateurs like me access to the exact tools – like the chalk pins and alignment cord – that tour pros use to fine-tune their putting week after week. The best part? That gives me the same intent, precision and confidence that the pros rely on every time they prepare for a tournament.
