Ana Vidal Egera Van El Pais interviewed Wired Global Editorial Director Katie Drummond About the emphasis that relates to how technology influences politics.
Ask. Once you are a member WadedYou made a strategic shift and started covering politics for the first time. What have you led you to do this?
Answer. The first thing I did was hire a political editor and three political reporters. I built a new team to cover politics for two primary reasons. One of them was that, looking forward to 2024, there was an American presidential election that would be extremely consistent for the country and the world. [And] There were also an unprecedented number of elections around the world.
[All of this was combined] With the fact that politics and technology are now very difficult apart. [They’re] Deeply intertwined, with everything, of how generative AI influences and influences voters influence and the wallets of the richest people In Silicon Valley, like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Sam Altman … how they align politically, is incredibly important. When Waded Completely about treating what the next step has the cover of the future and the very technologically progressive we are covering politics and taking it very seriously.
