The final phase of a popular land release on the Queensland-New South Wales border offers buyers a limited opportunity to embrace the peaceful Tweed Coast lifestyle, and it’s selling fast.
With Australians eager to flock to the Gold Coast, finding a spot along the coastline on the Queensland-New South Wales border to build a dream home is becoming increasingly rare.
It’s no wonder why Sceniq Bilambil HeightsHigh above the coastline on the Gold Coast/Tweed border, it commands attention.
With only 100 total homes to be delivered, this master-planned community has quietly become one of the most sought-after addresses in the region.
The lifestyle change: living on the coast meets tranquility in the hinterland
There is no doubt that Sceniq’s position is truly attractive.
Nestled in the tranquil hills behind Tweed Heads, Bilambil Heights offers a balance between being close to the coast and the peaceful feel of the hinterland.
Just a 10-minute drive away is Coolangatta Beach and it’s less than 20 minutes to the Gold Coast’s Robina CBD, with employment opportunities and premium shopping in Robina Town Centre.
Gold Coast Airport is a 10-minute drive away and the area has public and private schools for families to choose from.
For many people, this area is also attractive because of its price and is seen as a more affordable way to experience the type of lifestyle the area offers, without the eye-watering Gold Coast price tags.
Luke, who bought a home in phase 1, which has now been completed, says the location was exactly what he was looking for.
“I grew up on the Tweed in Kingscliff myself and have always wanted to settle here, raising my children in a town near the mighty Tweed River with direct access to the ocean, for my hobby of sea fishing,” he said.
“Being familiar with the area, I knew some blocks would have views of the Tweed River and ocean, so I jumped in to secure a block early.”
“We plan to build a family home that makes the most of the ocean views, is functional and provides enough space for our children and dog to play safely in the garden.”
Why this Gold Coast-Tweed land release is attracting upgraders
Sceniq has broad appeal, attracting interest from seachangers, local upgraders, downsizers and everyone in between.
It is clear from the spacious design with generous homes that real thought has been put into the masterplan, with the emphasis on building a real community rather than just selling off blocks.
SKF Development, the team behind the project, has deliberately created high-quality streetscapes with plenty of trees and a network of stroller-friendly paths that converge on the recently completed Sceniq Park, bringing this nature-inspired community to life.
Calum Buchanan, development manager at SKF Development, is extremely proud of the result and that it is a coastal opportunity that will be difficult to beat.
“It’s all quite high up, so you have beautiful views. Some houses look out over the wide water to the ocean, while others look out over the countryside and mountain ranges,” he says.
“People really appreciate it once they get there, they see the aspects of the natural landscape and the tree canopies.”
The block sizes are another big draw. Ranging from 550 m2 to more than 5,000 m2, these are decent-sized homes, the kind where kids can run around, there’s room for a dog and the residents aren’t squeezed next to their neighbors.
Communal areas and the natural landscape are a crucial part of the design of Sceniq Bilambil Height.
Final lots are now selling in Sceniq, where previous releases sold quickly
Ever since the first release hit the market, buyers have been lining up to get in.
The homes in phase 1 will be settled this month, with the first lucky residents ready to build their new dream homes.
When Phase 3 recently launched, more than 75% of homes were sold in just two months, prompting the developer to bring forward the final phase, with both Phase 3 and 4 starting construction this month.
According to Clinton Tresize, Managing Director at RPM Group, sales in the final release have already been strong, with eager buyers waiting in the wings to secure their place in this community.
“Although phase 4, consisting of the last 30 homes in Sceniq, was only brought to the market last week, a number of lucky buyers have quickly acted to secure their homes,” he says.
“The final homes, now selling, are priced from $535,000 to $905,000 and we urge buyers to get in touch now to secure their new address in Sceniq as no more land will be released.”
