Bitcoin fell to $75,000, triggering more than $2.5 billion in long leveraged liquidations in one day and accelerating a market-wide pullback.
Within these market conditions, speculative activity is also decreasing. Bitcoin Everlight continued to see participation during the second pre-sale phase, which is a clear example of how engagement behaves under systemic stress.
Geopolitical conflicts and monetary policy are driving the sell-off
There were reports of explosions near the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas. The growing tension between the country and the US immediately reduced risks in global markets. Of course, cryptocurrencies were sold alongside stocks.
This decline was further reinforced by monetary policy. On January 28, the Federal Reserve maintained interest rates at 3.50%–3.75%, with Chairman Jerome Powell indicating that cuts before the end of 2026 are unlikely. This immediately dispelled expectations of short-term liquidity relief. A partial US government shutdown, now lasting more than 40 days, has also increased pressure, forcing many private participants to liquidate their crypto holdings.
Bitcoin Everlight will appear as participation continues
Although much of the market is frozen, Bitcoin Everlight has continued to attract participants during the second pre-sale phase. This particular activity is not driven by momentum in the price. On the other hand, it focused on how the network functions and how contributors participate in it.
The project is designed as a lightweight transaction routing layer that works alongside Bitcoin without changing the original protocol or consensus rules. Bitcoin remains the settlement layer, while Everlight focuses on coordinating transactions and executing them. This separates the settlement of transactions from the settlement at the base layer.
BTCL delivery and pre-sale progress
Bitcoin Everlight works with a fixed supply of 21,000,000,000 BTCL. The allocation is determined at launch:
- 45% for the public presale
- 20% reserved for node rewards
- 15% for liquidity
- 10% for the team that is permanently acquired
- 10% for use of ecosystems and treasury.
The presale will take place in 20 phases, starting at $0.0008 and ending at $0.0110. The project is currently in Phase 2, priced at BTCL at $0.0010, and has raised over $250,000 during the ongoing market downturn. Allocations for sale unlock 20% on token generation, with the remaining balance released linearly over six to nine months. Team assignments follow a 12-month cliff and a 24-month vesting schedule.
Node operations and incentive structure
The operational core of the network consists of the Everlight nodes. They do not mine blocks and are not full Bitcoin nodes. Instead, their role is limited to routing transactions, performing validation, and participating in quorum-based confirmation.
To participate, node operators must stake BTCL tokens. The compensation comes from micro-costs for routing and is adjusted by measurable factors including uptime, routing volume, and performance metrics such as response latency and successful delivery rates. Nodes that fall below the required thresholds will lose routing priority until performance is restored.
Participation levels – Light, Core and Prime – define routing responsibility and access to advanced roles. Higher levels process a larger portion of the transaction flow. There is a fixed lockout period of 14 days, which supports predictable network behavior without long-term capital immobilization.
Security assessment and liability measures
Bitcoin Everlight’s contracts and infrastructure have undergone an external technical review via the SpyWolf Auditand the SolidProof audit. These reviews looked at the contract logic, structure and consistency of implementation.
Project identity verification is completed via the SpyWolf KYC Verification And Vital Block KYC Validationestablishing traceable responsibility for development and implementation.
