The supermarket, the first location in Whole Foods in Frisco, anchores the chic retail space of the development, which will be around 100,000 square feet in total. Other components of the first phase of 28 hectares include 115,000 square foot office space, 635 residential units and part of the 8 -hectare central park of the community.

After completion, plans to ask the mix more than 2 million square foot office space, 375,000 square foot shops, two hotels and almost 3,300 residential units, including multifamy and mansions. There will also be 114,000 square feet medical office space.

The design also calls for “European-inspired Paseos and Pocket parks”, according to the developer, and “celebrates the local landscape of Northern Texas.” Arcadis is the architect of the Mix shopping center, including Whole Foods Market.

The architecture is inspiration from the natural landscape of Frisco, in particular the fields with Bluebonnets and the layered textures of local stone, Giuseppe Colosimo, director of Arcadis and designer of the retail center, said in a statement.

The site has a history

Every development on the site has taken a while. About ten years ago, another developer had plans for a project called Wade Park, including high-end shops-effective by a supermarket in Whole Foods-two office towers, two hotels, multi-family and entertainment locations.

The previous developer dug a gap on the site for an underground parking garage, but was not further entangled, with progress in bankruptcy procedure and a lawsuit, ultimately rejected, about the property of the property between the previous developer and the project lender.

Last year Frisco was the focus of a similar large development. Wilks Development broke ground in the first phase of $ 550 million from Firefly Park, a master-planned community of 242 hectare mixed use. The construction on phase one is expected to be completed in mid -2027.
