Just one Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline ago, we took a look at the overall status regarding fixtures.
So this time, let’s split the six Gameweeks examination into defense and attack, with a difference in the teams we focus on.
This is especially useful for Gameweek 8 Wildcard users, as such coverage allows free transfers to accrue. And it is already known that all managers will have five heading into Gameweek 16.

ATTACKERS: SIX GAMEWEEKS OF MATCHES
ARSENAL
In Zophar’s words: Arsenal smelled blood from the poor results of Liverpool and Manchester City and quickly put themselves at the top of the league, despite the difficult first games.
Regardless of the confusing punishment situation, managers should strive for both Bukayo van (£9.9m) or Victor (£9.1m) as both look good.
Saka has multiple routes to points, while Gyokeres is tied for third for box shots (15) in the summer and has scored six big chances.
BRIGHTON + HOVE ALBION
On the south coast, Brighton has the third best expected goals (xG, 11.36). But their problem, from an FPL perspective, is the depth of the squad.
Yankuba Minteh (£6.0m) is the only midfielder or forward to start all seven matches, but neither Georgia Rutter (£5.7m) Neither Danny Welbeck (£6.3 million) exceeds four of them.
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
The Seagulls were the last team to deny Wolverhampton Wanderers a 1-0 win by equalizing late in the match. The last-placed team has improved somewhat, but it is difficult to make a point of that when they have the fewest goals (five) and big chances (five).
Again, owners of Jorgen Strand Larsen (£6.4m) may want to hold off on selling the goalless striker. Hampered by a lack of match fitness, he should be fine against Sunderland (a) and Burnley (h).
WESTHAM UNITED
While West Ham United will be hoping a new manager can turn around their dreadful start, which has left them third in terms of goals (six) and big chances (10).
This will be followed by three home games out of four games. The temptation will be great to kick the playmaking penalty taker Lucas Paqueta (£5.9m), but talismanic Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) has been tied for 90 minutes and has somehow prevented three goals. Even Crysencio Summerville (£5.5m) is a differential shout.
EVERTON
Investments in Merseyside are also recommended. If an upcoming trip to Man City can be navigated, when Jack Grealish ( £6.9m ) is ineligible and covers Everton with him or Idiman Ndima (£6.5 million) oozes potential.
The latter, like Paqueta, takes penalties and is on our Assists Imminent table.
LIVERPOOL
The reigning champions are second in the table, third in shots (103) and tied for third in goals (13) and big chances (19).
However, we had to investigate why Mohammed is wrong (£14.4m) remains disappointing. Although he still gets four offensive returns than mega-signing Florian Wirtz (£8.1 million). A flop so far, the German has ended up on the Liverpool bench a few times.
Likewise, each of Hugo Ekitike (£8.7 million), Alexander Isaac (£10.6 million) and Cody Agat (£7.5 million) have been exchanged at least once.
DEFENSE: SIX GAME WEEKS OF MATCHES

ARSENAL
Back to the Gunners, the question for many is not whether they should invest in their backline, but how many are enough.
Already established as the Premier League’s best defense, David Raya (£5.7m) has helped them concede the fewest goals (three), tries (56), shots on target (18), big chances (five) and expected goals (xGC, 4.39).
Before the Spaniard, Jurriën Hout (£5.9 million) and Riccardo Calafuri (£5.7m) individual defenders dominate for tries and xG. They join Crystal Palace Daniel Munoz (£5.6 million) on the most shots in the penalty area (nine), while Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.3m) surpasses its peers in terms of major opportunities (two).
CHELSEA
While injuries are Chelsea’s ongoing problem, they certainly will be Trevo Chalobah (£5.1m) back from suspension in Gameweek 8.
No other defender tops his three big chances, and he also ranks fourth for attempts (eight). Maybe goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.9m) is the preferred route for cover.
BRIGHTON + HOVE ALBION
His former club joined the Blues in stopping the joint-fourth most shots on target (22). Yet no clean slate has yet been achieved in these opening weeks. Surely there will be one?
That will give you a boost Jan Paul van Hecke‘s (£4.4m) appeal, after scoring Brighton’s aforementioned equalizer at Wolves.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
Meanwhile, only rivals Arsenal have conceded fewer goals than their five, but xGC data says this should have been 8.82. Have traces Willem Vicaris‘s (£5.1m) 24 savings to thank for this.
It means he is the number three goalkeeper for points (35), surpassing the FPL defender with the most ownership Micky van de Ven (£4.8m) and frequent crosser Pedro Porro (£5.6m).
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
On the other hand, wolves underperform. They allowed 14, but it should only be 9.52 instead, with some underlying stats tending to float around the middle of the table.
For managers predicting success from their next two forays, Sam Johnstone (£4.5m) appears to be preferred between the sticks. Arrival at the end of August Ladislav Krejci (£4.5m) has played just four games but has already scored a goal and is among the best defenders for shots on target (three) and xG (0.76). Furthermore, his days at Sparta Prague included a good penalty record.
LEEDS UNITED
Finally, newly promoted Leeds possess the sixth-best xGC count (8.13), despite eleven setbacks.
Also impressive is that only Arsenal and Newcastle United avoid fewer big chances (nine). That’s why there are cheap enablers Joe Rodon (£4.0 million) and Gabriel Gudmundsson (£4.0m) could be useful against Burnley and West Ham.
