In the meantime, Terrence Shannon Sr. TJ literally gave his game. Born on December 16, 1979, he played professional – Roanoke Dazzle, Detroit Pistons, Leones de Ponce for two decades, you name it. The Roanoke Dazzle even selected him in round 10, Pick 1 of the 201 2002 G League Draft, after he was unknown to the NBA design of 2000. He signed with the pistons on September 30, 2004, but was only waived a few weeks later, on October 18, and hit free agency again on October 20. And after his son came to the Iowa Wolves, they became the first father-son Duo who played in the G-League.
When it was called the NBA D League, from 2002-2005, Terrence SR was on average 14.4 ppg and 5.1 rpg. He led the Asheville height to the 2005 title and earned an NBA for the season -Stint with the Detroit Pistons. He then took his talents abroad – the Dominican Republic, Spain, Israel, South Korea, Argentina, Puerto Rico. He graduated from the Elgin Community College and now works as a skills trainer, coach and mentor in Chicago with his partner, Klani Lamug. Moreover, his son sat on every drill, every lesson.
