Placed in the court of Minnesota in the Graafschap Hennepin, the Paknamen Exp Realty, EXP World HoldingsGlenn Sanford, James Bramble, Brent Gove, Parker Pemberton and Pemberton Homes as defendants.
Nielsen, a real estate agent in Minnesota, started her career in 2014 and joined EXP in 2019, after running her own independent broker with around 20 agents. She was recruited to exp. Michael Bjorkman and David GoldenThose defendants are in some of the sexual attack and intimidation suits with an Exp -Realty. According to the complaint, Nielsen was the whistleblowers for accusations in the Acevedo suit, as well as others.
Bjorkman is no longer at the company and Golden has been suspended since then.
According to the complaint, she heard at the end of 2023 that the defendants were reportedly “secretly and systemic revenge against her because of her report of sexual harassment and other serious misconduct and illegal activities in 2020.”
Nielsen is said to have confronted the defendants about this, however, instead of making good, the complaint claims that “EXP has doubled with his efforts, refused to help Nielsen, and in fact told her that no one in the company was allowed to talk to her anymore.”
The defendants have not returned a housing request for comments.
Nielsen claims on the blacklist
According to the complaint, this retribution came in the form of her ‘on the blacklist’ to prevent her from getting speaking opportunities and blocking her to attend EXP leadership events, which she claimed to be the potential growth of her company at Exp. The suit claims that she is not the only whistleblower who takes revenge.
She claims that this has effectively ended her career at the company. Moreover, she claims that EXP “has withheld what is considered hundreds of thousands of dollars” that owed her through the Exp’s Revenue Share program.
“Had Exp and defended Nielsen treated honestly and not forced her, she would have continued to earn considerably monthly income from the income share program for an indefinite period of time,” said the complaint. “Instead of protecting Nielsen’s income share payment, the defendants facilitated Pemberton who took Nielsen’s income share payments.”
Claims illegal drugs
According to the complaint, Nielsen was informed by another agent that both Bjorkman and Golden tried to obtain illegal drugs while traveling for an EXP event in 2020. Not able to report the issue to her direct sponsors, just like the protocol, Nielsen said she was reporting that the issue was higher on the sponsor line.
“None of the agents who reported Nielsen seemed to worry,” said the complaint.
In addition to the illegal drug problems, Nielsen also said that she was considering reporting an agent’s rules who used an external recruiter to recruit agents, which is against the company’s policy.
“The company’s reaction was that Nielsen should think carefully about whether she really wanted to report a violation and open a can of worms,” the complaint states. “Based on the interview, Nielsen decided not to report the violation of the rules because the potential fallout would not be worth a potential benefit.”
Reported alleged sexual attack and intimidation
In the fall of 2020, Nielsen began to report incidents of sexual violence and intimidation, committed by her sponsors Bjorkman and Golden. According to the Pak, she reported these incidents to the then President Michael Valdes of Exp, who left the company in the spring of 2024 and submitted a memorandum about the incidents at his request. Moreover, she asked to change sponsors, but this request was refused in November by Exp General Counsel Bramble.
Based on this experience and that of the women she helped in reporting sexual abuse incidents, Nielsen says that she believes that Ext did not investigate the 2020 incidents properly, and that Exp Golden and Bjorkman continued to pay, even after the 2020 incidents were reported.
Moreover, Nielsen claims that Golden and others who had previously been involved in the sexual harassment of themselves and others were able to sit with her at events organized by Gove “create a very uncomfortable atmosphere”.
An alleged jump in attractions numbers
After leaving Expin in April 2024, Nielsen claims that the company held a meeting about her in her home state Minnesota, organized by Pemberton. She believes that this meeting led to “an important leap” in the Pemberton’s attraction figures.
“Apparently at night Pemberton has added hundreds of new agents to his organization,” says the complaint. “Exk was still an e -mail to Nielsen Influencer reports. Nielsen put out his hand to one of her former agents asking if the Upline had changed. It was confirmed that Pemberton was not mentioned in the agent’s upline where Nielsen used to be.”
Nielsen argues that the supply of Exp van Resocesta to its Front-Line agents “further supports” that the company “took action to remove it.”
Although she has left EX, Nielsen claims that the retailing of the company will continue against it, in particular through a 10-hour deposition for the Acevedo case, of which she claims [her] down. ”
Nielsen demands a jury court and asks the court for high compensation, as well as a refund for the alleged income and profit that they owe.
