Ange Postecoglou is an exemical manager, it seems, despite his looting in Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer.
The Australian coach has a trophy-winning CV to his name after he stormed the Scottish premiership with Celtic before leaving Glasgow for North London.
As promised, Big Ange also won a trophy in his second season as a Spurs boss before Daniel Levy broke ruthless ties with the 60-year-old, despite the silverware that rested in their cabinet.
Levy has been taken since then and his successes and failures will be studied by supporters for years, but with Thomas Frank now in the door in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it is still to be seen whether or not the axing of Postecoglou is one of the other.
This week, Postecoglou was reportedly in the race to replace the former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag as Gaffer at Bayer Leverkusen after the shocking decision of the Bundesliga outfit to take the Dutchman after just three games.
Ange Postecoglou lost Bayer Leverkusen Job to Kasper Hjulmand
It was a phone call from the boardroom that reportedly came for a large number of reasons, but it saw ten hag run away with millions in the bank.
It also meant that Leverkusen had to act quickly and despite the fact that he spoke with Ange, it was former international coach Kasper Hjulmand van Denmark who received the reins in the Bayer Arena.
Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed so much on his social media page that Hjulmand was always for the boss born in Greek.
He tweeted: “Bayer Leverkusen had a positive meeting with Kasper Hjulmand as a favorite to become a new head coach. More conversations this week, but Hjulmand for Ange Postecoglou and more candidates at this stage.”
That makes questions about the future of Postecoglou and what the next one is for the coach who also won titles with Yokohama F Marinos in Japan before he goes to Celtic.
It was recently reported that Postecoglou Clubs had interested in Saudi who wanted to take him with him, but nothing has ever come.
It was also said that he was in the race to replace the deceased Jose Mourinho with Fenerbahce, but again, nothing came. Or, at least not yet.
Postecoglou could make Premier League Manager Return
Could he stand in line for another switch back to the Premier League?
Nuno Espirito Santo would be on fire in Nottingham Forest after he admitted that his relationship has changed with Evangelos Marinakis in the summer.
Postecoglou has history with the club president and could be prepared to wait in the wings when Nuno is caught.
A return to Celtic should also not be excluded with Brendan Rodgers who will probably leave the club at the end of the season after the expiry of his contract.
Graham Potter is also on a shocked pin and postecoglou can be an option for West Ham United in England if his preference.
