Tulsa King Season 3, created by Taylor Sheridan and starring Sylvester Stallone, concluded the season on Sunday with episode 10. What’s next for the hit Paramount+ crime drama and when will it premiere?
Tulsa King fans were surprised with big news the day Season 3 premiered on streaming on September 21, when Paramount+ announced it had been renewed Tulsa King for a fourth season. In the announcement, the streaming platform announced that she won an Emmy Sopranos And Promenade Empire producer Terence Winter – who was the showrunner and writer Tulsa King Season 1 and executive producer of the first five episodes of Tulsa King Season 2 – would return to the series as executive producer and head writer for season 4.
Note: Some major spoilers from Tulsa King Season 3 Episode 10 are discussed in the rest of this article.
Tulsa King In season 3, Stallone’s character, Dwight “The General” Manfredi, finds himself at odds with longtime Tulsa liquor baron Jeremiah Dunmire (Robert Patrick) after Dwight purchases a generations-old distillery from owner Theo Montague (Brett Rice). Jeremiah was furious about the sale, as Theo’s stash contained 150 barrels of 50-year-old bourbon worth $150 million.
Jeremiah’s first act of revenge was for his men to abuse Theo and burn his mansion with him in it. Jeremiah then tried to kill Dwight and his family and his crew at various points in the season, but in episode 10, the former New York City mafia capo exacted revenge. Angered by the way Jeremiah’s men killed Theo, he burned Jeremiah alive.
While Tulsa King Season 3 doesn’t end on a cliffhanger like seasons 1 and 2. There are some loose ends in season 3’s subplots that could potentially end up in season 4. One of them is how New York mob boss Quiet Ray Renzetti (James Russo) will react to Dwight and his old friend Russell Lee Washington Jr. after they shoot two of his assassins.
Another potential storyline for Tulsa King Season 4 sees Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough), a former enemy of Manfredi turned uneasy ally, keeping his end of the bargain to be in Dwight’s pocket after he wins the Oklahoma governor’s race.
The reason the potential storyline seems to be taking shape is that a new cast member has been hired for the upcoming season of the series. According to TermGretchen Mol – who worked with Winter Promenade Empire – has joined Tulsa King Season 4 as a regular series. Mole, Term reported, will star a Tulsa politician named Amanda Clark, so the character’s description seems tailor-made for the series’ political subplot.

Production on ‘Tulsa King’ season 4 has already begun
Tulsa King Production on season 4 began in November, but with it came some unexpected drama. Term reported in late October that 26 of the series’ 600 crew members “were asked not to return for Season 4,” but it was expected that most of them would be replaced.
In the aftermath of the personnel purge Variety reported that Tulsa King Season 4 went into production without a showrunner and Scott Stone, the director in charge of production, got rid of it Tulsa Kings production company, 101 Studios, is “the de facto showrunner.”
Variety former interviewed Tulsa King stunt coordinator Freddie Poole, who recalled for the trade publication a conversation he had with Stone between seasons 3 and 4. Poole, one of 26 employees fired before Season 4, said Variety“[Stone] said, “We’re not getting a showrunner. 101 is the showrunner.” And I raised an eyebrow at that. That was the writing on the wall for me. I knew at that moment that I could start taking better care of myself.”
Whether the lack of an official showrunner will affect the production of Tulsa King Season 4 remains to be seen. If season 4 follows the same production timeline as season 3 (work on the show began in March and the premiere episode was on September 21), that means the show could return with the fourth season premiere episode as early as mid-May.
Of course, no one really knows the premiere date Tulsa King Season 4 until Paramount+ makes it official. In the case of Tulsa King Paramount, the Season 3 premiere date, announced the September 21 season premiere date about seven weeks earlier on July 31.
As fans wait for the announcement of the debut of Tulsa King season 4, they have another reason to get excited. NOLA Kinga spin-off series from Tulsa King starring Tulsa King Season 3 guest star Samuel L. Jackson will go into production in February 2026, according to the series Term.
All three seasons of Tulsa are now available to stream on Paramount+.
