India started their 2025-27 World Test Championship (WTC) campaign with an exciting 2-2 draw against England. The last test on the oval ended with a six-run victory for India, thanks to the five-wicket distance of Mohammed Siraj. The victory also continued the waiting of England for a gain against India, which was the last time in 2018.

This series marked the start of a long WTC trip for India. So what is the following?

Here is a full look at the upcoming test competitions of India in this WTC cycle.

The following test assignments from India

India will now take a short break of cricket with red ball. Their next series will be at home in October 2025 against West -India.

  • 1st test versus West -India: 2-6 October in Ahmedabad
  • 2nd test versus West -India: 10-14 October in Delhi

Then they organize South Africa in November 2025.

  • 1st test versus South Africa: 14–18 November in Kolkata
  • 2nd test versus South Africa: 22–26 November in Guwahati

In 2026, India will play a one -off test against Afghanistan at home. This competition will not be part of the WTC.

They will travel to Sri Lanka and Nieuw -Zeeland later in the year, each with two tests on those tours. The exact dates must still be announced.
