Wework Inks Nomad Lease as a company Reshuffles Portfolio

Wework makes movements in Manhattan.

The coworking giant held a lease of 55,000 square feet on 245 Fifth Avenue from Moinian Group in Nomad. The new location, planned to open in mid-2026, will span four floors and the 4th to 6th of the 24-storey office building, the company announced.

The deal comes when Wework starts with a wider effort to streamline operations and double in demanding areas under CEO John Santora. Foot traffic at the Nomad locations of Wework (of which there are three) has risen almost 11 percent from January to June, the company said. In total, Wework has 35 locations in New York City.

The new location will replace an expiring lease to the 79 Madison Avenue of Williams Equities, which according to the sale is for sale Commercial observer. A spokesperson for Wework refused to make the question of whether the length of the lease agreement announced.
