The Hammers were badly beaten at Molineux on Saturday, against a Wolves side who had not won a Premier League game so far in the season – a record 19 games from the start of the season.
The defeat leaves West Ham mired in relegation problems alongside Wolves, four points from safety.
After replacing Graham Potter with ex-Nottingham Forest boss Nuno earlier in the season, the east Londoners are now considering a second managerial change of the season.
One of the options being considered is former manager Slaven Bilic. The Croatian spent two seasons in charge of West Ham between 2015 and 2017 and represented the club during his playing career.
Bilic has been out of work since he left Saudi Al-Fateh in 2024. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the 57-year-old would be willing to return to the London Stadium mid-season if Nuno is sacked.
Also ‘high’ on the club’s option list is Michael Carrick. The 44-year-old left his role at Middlesbrough in June. Carrick came through the academy system at West Ham and made 159 appearances for the club before playing for Tottenham and Manchester United.
