Having agreed deals to sign Gil Vicente’s Pablo Felipe and Lazio’s Valentín Castellanos to strengthen their forward line, the Hammers are looking to bring in an additional centre-back.
Cresswell has become a target for the east Londoners following his impressive performances for club and country.
The 23-year-old was a key part of the England U-21 side that defended the European Championship last summer, earning 26 caps for the Young Lions in that age group.
He was named in the Team of the Tournament after that triumph and also claimed a winners’ medal as England won the 2023 edition.
Cresswell joined Toulouse from Leeds United in 2024 and has since made 48 league appearances for the French side, scoring six times.
